Afinity : Resurgent Robots
It has been many years since Affinity was the scourge of multiple formats, but with a plethora of powerful hate card for the deck, the Robots have quietly become a solid beatdown deck whose popularity ebbs and flows over an Extended season. For Dan Rodemann, it looks like the tide is in as he used his Affinity list to win a recent PTQ for Honolulu. Make sure to check out the newly minted Conflux hit Path to Exile in his sideboard; they’re great against Kataki, War’s Wage and the mirror match too!
The Urzatron (Urza’s Mine, Power Plant, and Tower) is a powerful strategy that has taken many players to great successes. It has fallen in popularity of late in the world of Extended, but Masaya Honda has put an end to that! He used the lands to power out heavy hitters like Grim Poppet, Platinum Angel, and Mindslaver on his way to a PTQ Top 8 in Hiroshima, Japan.
